France Breathalyzer law for Scotland?

Scotland is considering lowering the drink-drive limit from the current 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood to 50mg.

This would bring it in line with most major European countries like France, Germany and Italy. It is even possible that they could look to indroduce the compulsory carrying of an alcohol testing kit similar to the French breathalyzer.

The UK currently has one of the highest levels allowed at 80mg and this has been the case since the late 1960’s.

As we all know it is now the law to carry breathalyser kits while driving in France and this could be the first tentative step towards the UK looking to do something similar.

The idea of reducing the alcohol limit is being debated in the Scottish Parliament over the coming months.

I work very hard on this website!

Can you do me a quick favour in return for providing this free info? I'd really be grateful if you told Twitter & Facebook you appreciate my efforts!
